About ForeverDiff
ForeverDiff is a database for World of Warcraft: Forever built around one question: what changed? Every build the game client ships is read straight from the game's own data tables and compared with the Classic Era baseline, so the site can show which items, spells, talents, zones and more are new, changed or gone, down to the tooltip line.
Where the data comes from
- Datamined builds: the client database tables of each build, decoded with community definitions and rendered into the tooltips you see. Nothing is guessed from patch notes.
- Placeholder: until a Forever beta build exists on Blizzard's content network, a real build with genuinely new content stands in so the comparison views can be seen working. It is labelled everywhere it appears and disappears automatically.
- Community preview: Forever talent trees read from BlizzCon 2026 footage by wowforevertalents.com are offered as a clearly attributed preview source in the talent calculator. They are a person's reading of footage, not game data.
- Announced facts: the Forever page lists what Blizzard has published, each line linked to its source.
Every source, the licence it carries and the pinned commit it was read at are set out in full on the data sources & licences page.

Privacy
No accounts, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising. The build you are browsing and the comparison you picked travel in the address bar, so a link carries the whole view. Talent builds are shared as links; nothing is stored server-side.
